Comments:
NON_COMPETETIVE !! I feel this is an insult to the history and true nature of Hatha Yoga. Like aerobics in the "80's" it is being commercialized!! NOT COOL!!!
Thank you sharing your comments! We do recognize that there is controversy surrounding yoga competition. We think, however, that competition serves as inspiration for individual excellence in yoga postures. Inspiration serves to motivate and excite us to conquer our fears and push past our mental blocks when we see others showing that it is possible. We believe in motivating ourselves and each other to reach our full potential by focusing on the individual journey and purpose. Thus, we understand that competition is not for everyone - but if you are curious about watching yogis push themselves to their edge we welcome you to attend!
As always, please remember, Bikram defends, "It is called Yoga Practice not Yoga Perfect."
Namaste,
