Leah, 19, has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis – an inflammation of the synovial membrane that lines the joints (like the knees or knuckles). When the membrane gets inflamed, liquid is produced and the joints can become stiff, swollen and painful. Read her story and join Leah as she embarks on her own, Mini Bikram Yoga Experiment; we’ll check in with her over the next three months to see how her practice is helping her condition.

After watching the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Kevin, a former investment banker, decided to leave the corporate world for high-performance sports. Despite never trying it before, he chose long track speed skating as his pursuit, quitting his job in Vancouver and moving to Calgary to train full time at Canada’s National training centre. Find out how Bikram Yoga helped take Kevin from a “slightly pudgy cubicle dweller” (his words, not ours!) to a competitor on the Canada Cup circuit.
