Bikram Yoga Classes

Bikram Yoga is the single best form of yoga to achieve and maintain optimal health, a sharp mind and your ideal body.

Bikram Yoga is an intelligently designed sequence of 26 postures (asanas), practiced for 90 minutes in a hot room. The increased room temperature aids in warming the muscles and increasing the flexibility of the body tissues, allowing for deeper stretching and helping to prevent injury. Toxins are released through the breath and skin by sweating. The end result is an unparalleled feeling of mental and physical well-being and relaxation.

Bikram Yoga is the best way to lose weight and get in shape for people of all ages and abilities, especially beginners. You can burn 600 to 1,000 calories per class at Bikram Yoga Vancouver, depending your work rate.

Bikram Yoga works 100% of your entire body, from the inside out. The series of stretches and compressions exercise your muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, organs, nerves and glands. Upon release of a posture, fresh oxygenated blood travels through and rejuvenates the vessels and tissues that were being compressed.

Bikram Yoga is an effective lifestyle component for losing weight and increasing your overall health and well-being. Bikram Yoga is also effective in rehabilitating old injuries and complementing peak performance training.

Core 40 – Intermediate Class

Regular experienced students are encouraged to attend the 90 minute Core 40 class covering 40 postures. Class will include familiar and new postures alike. Come salute to the gods, goddesses and the sun….ground to the earth with some arm-stands, reflect and expand with some stretching, balance your spine with some twists and strengthen your core!  The Core 40 class will be practiced in a warm room.

Bikram Yoga Posture Clinics

Special clinics developed to help you deepen your practice and give you the one-on-one attention that isn’t always possible in a regular Bikram Yoga class. These clinics are held in small groups of 6-8 students at various times. Keep your eye on the blog or give our studio a call at 604-742-3830 to find out when the next clinic is coming up.
