The 5th annual Western Hatha Yoga Competition that took place October 21st, 2007 was a great success! 
We had more competitors than ever; especially in the youth division.

 

 

Rajashree (Bikram’s wife), who flew all the way from Los Angeles for a day to judge the competition, was captivated by the youth division because it reminded her of her childhood. 

 

 

 

 

 

The winner of the boys youth division was 13 year old Wayne Bethancourt, who practices at the West End studio. 

 

 

 

 

The winner of the girls youth division was  Leanne Fukahara, and second place was 16 year old Jessica Chang. The winner of the men’s division was Egan Chung and the women’s was Ida Ripley, third place came Barb Simek.

All in all the competition was a great demonstration of everyone’s hard work, perseverance, efforts and achievements. Congratulations to all the competitors, amazing performance! We hope to see you all next year!
