It’s important to us that you are comfortable giving Bikram Yoga Vancouver some of your personal information.  We have designed this privacy statement for you so you can understand what we use your personal details for, why we ask for personal information (PI), and what we can promise in order to keep your details safe and secure.

1)  We limit the collection of PI to what is relevant and necessary to manage our business and give you the best possible customer service.

Name
We need your first and last name so we can identify you when you come in to use classes that you have paid for.  Having your name means we can also collect and file important information that you give us on any health issues or injuries that you have for your health and safety.

Email Address
This is important so we can email you important updates, notices and promotions, even the odd emergency schedule change.  We do not send many notices out, and we try to only send you information we feel is relevant and would be welcomed.

Phone Number
Having a way we can contact you immediately is great, sometimes it’s for accounts purposes, and sometimes it’s because you have requested us to contact you for some reason.

Address
We use your address as a secondary form of identification, with the many people that come to Bikram Yoga sometimes names can be very similar.  It’s really important that we get the right person when we process payments, or update your information, and being able to check your address if more than one person shares your name is an easy and bullet proof way to prevent mistakes.

Payment Details
We only collect credit card or bank account details from our members who sign up for our monthly membership program.  This is because the membership is an automated payment membership, and we use your details to process your monthly payment and automatically purchase more classes for you so you can keep coming to unlimited classes for as long as you want, hassle free.

 
2)  At any time you can request to update your PI, or if you are no longer a member of BYV you can request to have all of your PI removed from our system and files.
 
3)  We promise to never sell, rent or in any way disclose any of your personal information under any circumstances, unless you specifically request us to do so for some reason.
 
4)  We will take every effort to protect your PI against loss, unauthorized access and illegal use or disclosure.
