Users’ (referred to as “you” throughout this Privacy Policy) privacy is important to Bikram Yoga Vancouver (“BYV”).  BYV cares about how your information is collected, used and disclosed and is committed to protecting your privacy online.

This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes how BYV collects, protects, uses and discloses information collected about you on this website (the “Website”).

Application of Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy applies only to information collected about you by BYV through the Website and does not apply to information obtained or disclosed in offline correspondence, at BYV locations or through other personal contacts with BYV representatives.

Collection of Information

“Personal information” generally means any information that identifies you as an individual other than your job title and business contact information.

BYV collects personal information when you choose to register for an account, purchase products or services, request information or assistance, or provide feedback through the Website.  The personal information BYV collects from you during these activities includes: your name, username, and password.  BYV also collects non-personal information each time you access or use the Website.  The non-personal information BYV collects includes your URL, IP address, browser and operating system information, and the location (country and province) where your server is located.

BYV does not sell, rent or share its customer lists to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

BYV has implemented reasonable physical and technical measures to protect your personal information against loss or theft, unauthorized access, use or disclosure.  For example, the Website uses Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”), an industry standard security protocol which encrypts information you enter while using the Website. BYV periodically reviews its security measures.  However, there are some things that you can do to help protect the security of your personal information as well.  You should not disclose your password to any individual unless such individual is made to comply with the Website Terms and Conditions of Use.  You also should sign out of your account and close your browser window upon completing your use of the Website.

BYV may keep your personal information for so long as is necessary or appropriate to carry out the purpose(s) for which such information was collected or for such longer period as may be required by applicable laws and regulations.
