You know, every cold winter I am dying to travel somewhere hot and tropical to take in the heat, but now I have found something that provides me with the feeling of being somewhere tropical and at the same time is beneficial for my health :) TGBY (Thank god for Bikram's Yoga!)

I started practicing BY Dec 27th after reading part 1 of Paige's story in Oprah. I had been trying to lose 20 pounds forever and decided it was time for drastic measures. I have practiced every day since. Like Paige, in the Oprah story, I am obsessed with the weight loss part of the results - and I have not lost any weight, my clothes are still tight, I like the yoga, I like sweating and working hard but PLease tell me when the weight comes off!!!

bikram yoga began as a purely physical pursuit, a means of getting back into shape. A year into it, I realized I continued it more for the mental and spiritual peace it provides me with. It allows you to see that everything is bearable, you are capable of so much more than you ever imagined.

I started practicing Bikram Yoga almost three years ago. After years of debilitating back pain, one surgery, and literally hundreds of visits to chiro, acupuncture and massage therapists,I tried Bikram.
I was hunched over and walking with enormous difficulty when I attended my first class. After THREE classes, I was pain free and on my way to rehabilitating my back issues. I am still amazed, and constantly grateful for what Bikram has done to change my life.

I just started doing Bikram. I find it very difficult. However everytime I leave class I feel invigorated! I find that if I go in the morning,I have way more energy for the rest of the day!
