What condition have you been diagnosed with? repetitive sprained ankle- perpetually swollen, and prone to spraining again very easily

What kinds of things about your diagnosis affect you:  
- Physically? had to be careful what shoes to wear. Sometimes needed to wear support bandage for sports- volleyball, etc.
- Psychologically? N/A
- General Quality of Life? N/A
What Treatments are you receiving & how were they working? received physio several times- exercises, ultrasound treatments, etc...it improved, but still remained slightly swollen and prone to re-injury
How did you hear about Bikram Yoga? walked by Cambie studio & from a friend + tried Moksha Yoga near my parents place in Mississauga ON first- and went for Bikram's in Vancouver- cause I love the hot room, but wanted less poses, held for longer each.
Did you have any fear or tendencies about the yoga? in the beginning, I didn't like the constant talking of the teachers, but after I got used to it, I like it now, cause it allows me to clear my mind and only focus on my body & breathing
How long have you been practicing the yoga? How often per week? 10 months- I aim for 3 times a week, but sometimes only manage 1 or 2 times per week
What changes have you noticed in yourself that you believe are a result of you practicing the yoga? my ankle is no longer swollen, it feels stronger.
Has any of your conventional treatment changed since practicing the yoga? (i.e. discontinuation of medication) no
What would you like to tell people who are feeling hesitant about trying the yoga? just try it- it's amazing! It makes you feel so much better physically and mentally. I haven't been in this good shape since I was 18 years old!
It energizes your body, calms your mind and feeds your soul.
